Minister highlights the role of regulators

In response to questions about disparities in completion rates, the Minister for Tertiary Education and Skills noted that nursing and social work degrees differ substantially from the police training model and that decisions about paid placements rest with regulators, providers, and employers.

This reinforces the need for developers of degree-level apprenticeships, where payment and structured employment are built into the model, to work with professional bodies to remove barriers.
