Who we are

Brenden Mischewski

I bring twenty years of experience in tertiary and vocational education policy and investment.

I have held senior roles in tertiary and vocational education policy, quality assurance and funding with the Tertiary Education Commission (TEC), the Ministry of Education, the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) and the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE). I managed the government's investment in vocational education and training for the TEC, including leading a significant and complex review of the industry training system.

In ten years as a consultant, I have worked with Te Pūkenga and its subsidiaries, workforce development councils, and other tertiary education organisations, advising them on strategy, planning and quality assurance.

I have extensive experience in data analysis, business case development, programme design and evaluation and research. I have a strong track record of rapidly translating and communicating complex information from various domains into actionable insights for my clients.
